Google Analytics can track the visitors from all referrers including the Email Marketing, Search Engines, Display network advertising and pay per click which is Google Adwords and many more.

Its already integrated with Google Adwords (the pay per click program of Google) through that the visitors can review the online running campaigns by tracking the conversions and the quality of the landing pages and much more.

Google Analytics is comes with a high level Dashboard for a layman user. Through the Analytics we can able to know that how many visitors we got from different-2 sources like Direct Traffic, Search Engine Traffic and Referral Traffic.

Direct traffic is basically the traffic that we got from typing the direct name of the website on the browser, Search Engine Traffic is one which we got from the search engines (Google, Yahoo and Bing and other search engines as well) and the last one is referral traffic that we got from another websites where the link of our website was putted.

We can add up to 50 website profiles in a single Google Analytics account.

To implement Google Analytics on our website we needs to create a Gmail account and register the same with GA, after that we can add a website as a profile.

IPv6 Coming: SEOs May Want To Prepare

IPv6, Internet Protocol version 6, is the Internet’s answer to running out of IP addresses. IPv4 had 4,294,967,296 IP addresses because it was 32 bits and ultimately was a test that became real. IPv6 is 128-bit and has approximately 340 undecillion or 3.41038 IP addresses – it’s a lot and we wouldn’t have to worry about running out of IP addresses.

But to make the change our computers need to update. That means your web site host needs to update things, like your servers, the routers, DNS, and so on. It also means that ISP, the way you connect to the internet, also need to update things.

Why the big rush now? Well, there is no rush but technically, the last block of IP addresses were just sold, so we are officially out of new IP addresses. Got that?

SEOs of course want to make sure that (1) the search engines can crawl, index and rank their pages and (2) searchers can click over and view their web pages from the search engines.

When IPv6, if you are not ready, it is possible you will be missing out on either one or two. But no need to panic, we are a far way from that.

Google crawls Robots.txt files on daily basis.

Google has confirmed through one of its Googler that Google typically crawls all the Robots.txt on daily basis. This is the first time I have seen a Googler make a statement on the crawl frequency of robots.txt files.

JohnMu from Google said “We usually only check the robots.txt file once a day for most sites, so I assume you were just still seeing the version that we fetched yesterday.”

There was a discussion in German SEO thread

about a weird loop hole that allow you to check the Google panely via Google PR toolbar.

According to thediscussion in the thread, there are three values you can get from doing this practical :

PR7 = No Google Penalty
PR4 = Google Penalty
PR0 = Site Banned in Google

What would be Google’s rational in having this loophole? I really don’t know. How can this be overlooked by Google? I am not sure. But everyone is in agreement that this loophole will be gone, soon enough.

Google Advanced Search page has recently added the new parameters of dates under a drop down list format prior to this they had the option to choose dates on quarterly basis for ex. 3, 6, 9, 12.Now you can search on the hourly basis, Even you can define your own time format also

Here is the quick cheat sheet:

d[number] – past number of days (e.g.: d10)

w[number] – past number of weeks

y[number] – past number of years
